So if you've worked your way through at least one of last weeks suggestions and you need something else to watch, here's another seven spooky shows worthy of your time/days/weeks...
MY NAME IS SABRINA SPELLMAN.... Is what you'll hear many times throughout the show because she forgets quite alot... I joke but she really does like saying her name.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based off of the original Archie Comic Series with the same name. If you've seen Sabrina the Teenage Witch (another show worth a watch with 7 seasons and 163 episodes) then throw everything aside and imagine Sabrina meeting Buffy... and you've almost got it.
The show currently has a total of 3 seasons and 28 episodes. The eleventh episode of season 1 is a Christmas episode that I actually hope becomes a Christmas classic as it's a really good episode. If you end up watching this and love it, I also recommend reading the original comics too as they're much, much darker!
Dead Set is brilliant! It's definitely up there with my favourite tv shows and is such a great idea for a mini series. It's only five episodes long and can very easily be finished in a couple of hours but you will be gripped from the beginning to end. The show follows contestants on Big Brother who don't know that slowly a Zombie Outbreak is taking over outside... and also the studio. Trapped in the house the show continues to air until the outbreak takes over and the contestants are left not knowing what's going on or how to get out.
If you don't know what Stranger Things is then where have you been? The Upside Down perhaps?
Stanger things is huge and is a fantastic show. It currently has a total of three seasons with 25 episodes and another two seasons on the way. The story focuses on the town of Hawkins where a young boy named Will goes missing. On the hunt for Will his friends and Family not only find Eleven, a young girl who has lived her life in a lab and also has special powers, but they also soon learn that there is much more to their town than they first thought.
You've got kids with superpowers, monsters, weird Silent Hill style alternate realms and more! What more could you want? Well apart from some Eggos...
I am going to hold my hands up before I write more about Supernatural and admit... i've never watched a single episode.. BUT it has such a huge following that it's definitely worthy of this list and a show I plan on actually watching this year.
Supernatural follows brothers Sam and Dean who work together to fight all kinds of supernatural beings. The show first premiered in 2005 and 15 years later it's only just coming to it's end! So you've got a total of 15 seasons and 318 episodes to currently binge watch. Season 15 hasn't finished yet so if you manage to catch up with all of those episodes you'll be able to watch the ending as it happens and be able to say "I remember the very last episode of that on TV" in years to come... which isn't what i've said to myself for a few of these shows so far.... *weeps*.
When I was a kid I remember watching episodes of this and creeping myself out but one thing that always gave me the spooks was the opening music. I used to cover my ears when the title sequence first started and then remove my hands when it ended which usually led to me being even more scared with the actual episode.
AYAOTD has a total of 91 episodes for the original series that ran from 1990 to 1996 and then again from 1999 to 2000. The show is all about The Midnight Society who are a group of kids who tell scary stories around a campfire each episode. In 2019 the show was revived for a three-part mini series (bringing the total to 94 episodes) and then also renewed in February 2020 for a second season.
When True Blood first aired in 2008 it was a massive hit, the first season alone has a bunch of surprising twists that will keep you hooked for the next season. It's not one for kids but definitely deserves to be on the list.
True Blood follows Sookie Stackhouse who is a telepathic waistress who befriends a Vampire. Within the show Vampires are known to exist within modern society and to ensure humans and vampires can live together in harmony, a blood substitute is created but that doesn't mean it's all going to be perfect...
There are a total of 81 episodes and seven seasons of the show. Just don't watch it with kids around.
When Being Human first aired on TV I was hooked! The show follows a vampire, werewolf and ghost that all live in the same house together and try to fit in with everyone else. When your neighbour next door transforms into a wild beast once a month, one is trying desperately not to eat people and the other is dead it's not going to all go to plan really.
The show has five seasons with 36 episodes. It also has a US remake that was released in 2011 and has four seasons too.
