Picture
I cannot believe it's the very start of October this week! Sadly that does mean that this weeks Seven Spooky Things is the last but it's going to be a bumper fun issue!

This week will be less about making and more about having fun, decorating and getting ready for the spookiest month of the year. So if you're after ideas on how to make your home ready for Halloween then you're in luck as there are weeks and weeks of Seven Spooky Things for you to now check out.

Let's get the final Seven Spooky Things for Halloween 2020 started!

Picture
Monday

Let's start the final week with one little make. This super easy pom pom ghost garland is adorable and would look great across your walls, fireplace, doors and more this Halloween!

You can easily make one of these in an hour or two and you can check out just how to make one right here.

One of my favourite instagram accounts @Notebookofghosts has created an awesome reading challenge for you all this October. 31 Spooky Stories (or 13 if you would prefer) is a month long challenge to read 31 short spooky stories.

It's can easily be done and is also a fun way for you to celebrate Halloween. You could even read to others or just curl up with a nice hot drink, chunky blanket and get lost in a haunting tale 13-31 nights of the month.

You can find out even more details on how to take part via the Notebook of Ghost blog post right here.

Wednesday

It's officially the last day of September, we're now over a week into Autumn and the best month starts tomorrow. So if you haven't already, today we're going to be decorating.

Grab all of the decorations your have available and get decking the halls with all things spooky. Have you created a theme this year? Well now it's time to put it into motion and celebrate because October is finally here!

Thursday

It has finally arrived! October is BACK and today also kick starts 31 Frightful Films For 31 Nights! This list of films has been put together by myself and are a bunch of the most popular films suggested by you! A few weeks ago I asked you (via the October 31st Facebook page and group) what films you like to watch throughout October and you gave the best responses!

My question also had another motive and that was to put these films together and create a list of films we can all watch throughout October and here it is. What's more is that I will be watching five of these films with you all and throughout our watch party ill be asking you a few questions. Save your answers and email them in for your chance to win a prize.

Unfortunately these films will not be streamed due to piracy laws, but with that being said I have selected some of the most popular films to watch along with you all that hopefully you will already own or can easily access via Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+.

The first film to kick start the month will be Hocus Pocus! We'll be watching this together at 8pm and all you will need to do is join the chat with a picture of your film ready to go. Then we'll chat online throughout the film, i'll ask a few Hocus Pocus questions, save the answers and once the film has ended you can send them in for your chance to win the prize (which will be revealed the day before the watch along night occurs).

The winner will be revealed during the next watch along night. Whats more is that everyone who emails in will also be entered into a prize draw for another mystery prize which will be revealed on Halloween!

So grab your copy of Hocus Pocus and let's get watching tonights first Frightful Film!

Almost all stores within the UK will now be stocked with loads of spooky tricks and treats so today we're going to go SHOPPING!

Grab your haunted shopping bags and let's go out to see what treats we can find. You can also check out a handy list of all stores that currently have Halloween goodies in store or online right here.

Saturday

Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Frappuccinos might be back at Starbucks (as of writing this i've already had 3) but do they have Candy Corn milkshakes? Didn't think so!

This quick and easy recipe for Candy Corn milkshakes required no Candy Corn at all but looks super cute (and tasty) you only really need vanilla ice cream and food colouring to put this together. It would make a great October beverage this month. Why not top it off with Halloween sprinkles that you should now be able to find from most supermarkets?

Check out the full how to right here.

Sunday

As it's the last day of the week and also because today marks... the last day of Seven Spooky Things for Halloween 2020, I though today would be a great time to re-post both of the free activity packs that were created during UK lockdown and also the newly released Halloween Zine from The Samsain Society.

All 3 of the files below are free to download. The activity packs are a zip file which contain all kinds of makes, puzzles, colouring pages and more! The zine is also a PDF which you should be able to download easily to your computer or phone. These are great little things to read and make throughout October and I will be releasing more packs in the future too!

To everyone who has read all of this years Seven Spooky Things posts I cannot thank you all enough for checking them out, sharing and tagging me in all of your pics to do with these posts (and the packs below). I hope you all have a wonderful October and if you make anything from the SST blog posts then please do continue to tag me as I absolutely love seeing them.

Stay safe, stay well and most of all Stay Spooky!

Missing Halloween and the month of October? Me too! So from now until Halloween, each week they'll be a new 'Seven Spooky Things' post to ensure you can add a bit of Halloween to your day 365 days a year.

These Seven Spooky Things should keep you well spooked from September 14th to September 20th.

There is only 1 Seven Spooky Things blog post left before they end and October arrives! Eeek!

Check out all of this weeks daily tasks below:

Monday

We're starting this week with less of a make and more of an idea for a future make! These adorable woodland pumpkins are made using felt and card and can be put together in less than 30 minutes!

This is such a great idea for decorating this Halloween and also just for Autumn! Maybe decorated your pumpkins like this for Autumn and then carve them out with a scary design for Halloween?

Find out how to make this cute little fox along with more woodland creature designs right here.

Tuesday

Today actually marks the first official day of Autumn! The best time of year has finally arrived and we can now look forward to cooler weather, cosy nights wrapped in blankets, sweaters and comfort food!

So let's celebrate the first day of Autumn with these Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Chip Cookies! If you love cookies in general, then you will love these too!

Check out how to make these delicious treats right over here.

Picture
Wednesday

Now is the perfect time to start stocking up on all of that wonderful Halloween candy. A large amount of stores will be stocking all kinds of seasonal treats right now what better way to store them, than with these Candy Corn mason jars?

Todays make is quick and easy but they look great. They would make the perfect table decoration or just look great on your shelves, filled with all kinds of wonderful sweet treats.

You can read up on how to make your own Candy Corn Mason Jars right here.

Thursday

Now that Autumn is well and truly here, you'll want to be decorating your home to reflect the seasonal change that is already happening outside. If like me, you like to fill your home with autumnal treats including pillows, blankets and decorative items around the place, then you'll love todays make.

This easy tutorial will show you how to make Halloween ornaments for you a seasonal indoor tree. The easiest part is the branch as all you'll need is an old tree branch that you think would be perfect to hang small, light decorations on. Grab this and remove any loose bits from the branch, then paint it any colour you desire.

You can then make your very own hanging autumnal decorations by checking out all of the steps right here.

Picture
Friday

I love a good wreath! If it's bursting with all kinds of autumnal colours and accents then I am all over it and this wreath is no exception.

When I first came across this tutorial, I actually thought this would be quite complicated to put together but to my surprise it's actually extremely easy and quick. The majority of the wreath is made from tied ribbons, with the tassle ghosts being the final, easy touch too.

If I hadn't of ordered myself a new wreath for the door this year already, I would be all over this!

Saturday

The weekend is officially here and for this week we're going to take it easy. Today we're reading and tomorrow we're watching. So you can put your feet up and release with todays article. The wonderful Halloween Haiku has put together a list of Fun Alternatives to Going Out this Halloween and for some of you this article is going to be a big help.

So many of you are concerned Halloween is over this year and that it's been cancelled. Halloween can never be cancelled and just because it won't be the same as what we're used to does not mean it's gone completely. There are many ways to celebrate the best time of the year and the article above will help you to do just that!

Picture
Sunday

To end the week we're watching The Village. This Village was released in 2004 and was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The film follows a small village that is under strict rule to never leave. Just beyond the boundaries of the village are monsters that will attack and kill anyone who tries to leave. However as time goes on the villagers start to become suspicious of what exactly is keeping them there.

I personally really enjoyed this film and the twist towards the end was a nice surprise. If you have never seen The Village before then I would definitely say it's worth a watch but be warned... you'll either love it or hate it.

It's another new week which means another new week of all kinds of tricks and treats!

We're starting this week by making these quick, but fun Halloween Soap Bottles. I recently managed to get my hands on some Halloween soaps but as these only seem to be available during spooky season, these bottles are a great way to have spooky soap all year long!

Find out how to make your very own soaps right here.

Tuesday

I don't know about you but I love, love, loveee Mexican food and if there's Halloween themed Mexican food then I am even more for it!

Today we're putting a quick and easy (spooky) twist on Quesadillas by making them as Jack'O-Lanterns. These are quick and easy to make, extremely yummy and would look great at your next Halloween party.

Check out all the details right here.

When witches go riding and black cats are seen, these black cat sock decorations only take fifteen... minutes to make and they look fangtastic.

If you've got some old black socks lying around (or maybe buy a new cheap pair) then you're already on your way to making these adorable black cat sock decorations. You could even mix this up with different coloured spooky socks and have a whole gang of spooky cats!

You can find out all the details right here.

Picture
Thursday

These are quite simply... adorable! And as with most makes I come across, are also easy and quick to make.

These cute little jack-o'lantern pouches would make the perfect little treat for your trick or treaters this year. You could even use these to play a fun little hide and eek game around your home and garden or just to give out as spooky gifts. Plus you can design as many different faces as you like so everyone has a unique little cutie!

All of the steps on how to make your very own little Jack-o'lantern pouch can be found right here.

Friday

Friday night is this weeks movie night and tonight we're watching The Thing!

Released in 1982, The Thing was directed by John Carpenter and follows the story of a research team in Antarctica who are being hunted down by a shape-shifting alien that can take on the appearance of it's victims.

This one definitely is not for kids buts totally worth a watch. The film is tense, surprising and scary! I have only actually watched this film recently but after checking it out, it's made me wonder why it took me so long to watch it as it's such a great film.

Picture
Saturday

Halloween is very quickly approaching and even after so many Seven Spooky Things blog posts, I still feel like i'm no where near ready.

Today we're making paper rosettes! These vintage style decorations are cheap, quick and easy! They're a load of fun to put together and really do look great. If you're not feeling the centre designs, why not find images you do like or draw up your own pictures to make a truly unique display this Halloween.

Read up on all the steps right here.

Picture
Sunday

Your final make is here! This weeks last make are these awesome vintage style tassels. They're an easy make but do require a drill to put everything together, so now might be a good time to invest in a new tool!

These would look great placed all around the home or in bunches of all different colours. I'm going to be attempting to make these myself this Halloween too and will most likely keep them out all year.

You can find out how to make your very own right here.

We're down to 4 Seven Spooky Things left! This week we're starting it with a really fun read. The Samhain Society is a group of like-minded people who work together to share as much spooky content all year and I am honoured to be part of such a wonderful group of people.

We have worked together to create a free Halloween 2020 Zine which is filled with all kinds of spooky treats and you can download it below.

If you want to check out all the members who have contributed to this Zine and fill your day with even more spooky content, then you can check out a list of everyone right here.

Those of you who love Primitive Halloween decorations will love todays make. This primitive style candy corns are easy to make and mainly require wood and paints. You could possibly pick up wooden plain candy corn pieces from your local craft store currently too.

They look great and for those of you who like the look of candy corn but hate the taste, these are perfect!

Check out how to make your very own wooden Candy Corn right here.

Todays make is one I cannot wait to get started with. It requires air drying clay (which you can buy from The Works for around £4), a rolling pin and a few more things you should easily be able to find around the house, or at least similar substitutes to make these adorable little ghosts!

The tutorial has used white clay but you can easily purchase standard air-drying clay and paint it white with some acrylic paint.
Find out how to make your own adorable little ghosts right here.

Thursday

How deliciously spooky does this look? This chocolate trifle is filled with all kinds of tricks and treats and will definitely be a head turner at your next Halloween party.

This trifle uses box mixes and pre-made ingredients so if your short on time you can easily whip this together in no time. Substitute Peeps for any kind of Halloween marshmallow and you're all set for one hell of a  tasty treat.

You can read all of the steps on how to make this right here.

Friday

Another bake for today and today we're making these absolutely adorable Ghost Pecan Cookies!

These only take around 45 minutes to make and require just five ingredients so you should be able to whip these up in no time at all!
Imagine giving these out to trick or treaters or leaving plate out at your next get-together! (Or just a plate for yourself, yum!).

Find out how to make your own little cute ghosties right here.

Saturday

Your final make for this week are these quick and easy yarn pumpkins. Personally I love the colours for these, they're very autumnal and look great.

You can also mix these up to create all kinds of colours. Why not make different patches for each season? That way you'll always have pumpkins throughout your home all year long.

Add a small loop to the top step for easy hanging too.
To find out all the details on how to make your own yarn pumpkins, just click right over here.

We're ending the week with this weeks film and we're watching Mars Attacks!

Mars Attacks was released in 1996 and was directed by Tim Burton. I remember when I first watched this film as a kid and it terrified me. I thought the aliens were so scary and I definitely had a nightmare or two. Having watched it recently I realised how silly they look but still absolutely love this film.

If you have never seen this film before then you're in for a treat. It's definitely one of Tim Burtons better films and a whole load of fun.

We're starting this week with a quick and easy make. These hanging bat bell jars are made by printing and cutting out these different bat silhouettes and then stringing them together to make them look like they're flying around the jars.

For those of you who don't have a bell jar at hand then why not substitute this for a large jar? Either way they look great and are such a simply make to put together.

Find out more details right here.

Today we're making and baking! With Autumn less than a month away, it's getting closer to the best time of the year where it's all about cosy jumpers, curling up with a book or in front of the tv and lots and lots of nice warming foods!

This recipe for Pumpkin Pie is easy to whip together and tastes great. I recently tried Pumpkin Pie for the very first time and absolutely loved it. I can definitely see myself making it for many, many years to come each Aututmn.

So if you've never made it before or even if like me, you've never tried it before then lets get making this today! Find out the full recipe right over here.

Picture
Wednesday

Another easy make for the middle of the week today and it's another cheap one too! Today's fake Crow Taxidermy diy can easily be put together with things you can grab from Poundland and other budget stores.

The article also shows you how to make extra wall-worthy treats too including decorative spider plaques and spiderweb dream catchers!

Head right on over to here to see how to make your own decorative treat.

Thursday

I absolutely love spooky shadowboxes and this one is no exception. This can easily be put together with things from your local craft store (Hobbycraft will definitely be your friend for the box) and it won't take you long to make either.

One thing I love about this is the use of the battery tealight candle, when placed behind the haunted house silhouette the windows flicker and glow.

You can find out all the details on how to make your very own haunted house shadow box right here.

Picture
Friday

Continuing with Tuesdays Pumpkin Pie recipe, I stumbled across this easy Pumpkin Pie Garland craft project too which I think looks really great.

It would be a nice little autumnal decoration in your home, especially in your kitchen and as it's easy to store away after use, you can use it year after year. Maybe use this to decorate your dining room when having guests over for an autumnal feast.

You can read up on all the details on how to make your own garland right here.

Picture
Saturday

We're going to end the makes this week with how we started this week... and that's with another Bat DIY.

This Hanging Bat Table Centrepiece looks complicated but it's actually another really easy make, with the majority of the items required possibly already being available within your home.

This is designed to hang above your dining room table however if that's not something you're up for, why not place the branches inside glass jars and bottles instead? To make your own hanging bats just click right here.

Picture
Sunday

It's the last day of the week and we're going to close this week with a movie night. This weeks film is the incredible Scream. Released in 1996 Scream has become a cult hit and is one of the best slasher films around.

It's personally one of my favourite films and the 3 sequels that followed are also great too.

Scream focuses on Sidney Prescott whose own mother was murdered a year ago and must try and survive a new killer who is out to get her and her friends.

If you've never seen any of the Scream films before then you're in for a treat as they'll leave you wondering who the killer is from start to finish. Once you've watched all four films (Scream 5 is also being released in 2022) why not check out the TV show too? Although no where near as good as the films, all three seasons are fun to watch and you can even check out a Halloween special episode too.

There are only 6 more Seven Spooky Things to go and we're starting the 6th remaining week with these Monster Strawberry Cupcakes.

Here in the UK for the past two years, monster plants have been a big thing at Halloween. Quite a few people go crazy for them in Homesense and TK Maxx and so here we have edible Audreys.

These are really easy to make and look so good (and tasty).
Find out all the details on how to whip up a batch right here.

Picture
Tuesday

We're adding a gothic touch to your home today with these DIY Blood Candles. They're made using cardboard tubes, battery tealight candles, a glue gun and paint and they really do look great.

These would look perfect dotted around your home this halloween or add some clear fishing wire and suspend them from the ceiling for an easy floating candle effect (Harry Potter Great Hall anyone?).

Check out all the details and more pics of these wonderful candles right here.

Wednesday

Here in the UK more and more stores are starting to put out this years Halloween ranges and so those budget stores (Home Bargains, Poundland) but just be your new best friend.

This Witch Hat Door Decoration can easily be made on a budget and will cost less than £10 to put together. Using a witch hat, artificial flowers and a few spooky additions, you can easily put this together to make an amazing decorative piece for your home this Halloween.

Find out all of the details right over here.

Thursday

Thursday this week is movie night and tonights film will also coincide with tomorrows make. This week we're watching The Addams Family Values. A brilliant classic film released in 1993 and considered one of the best Addams Family films to date.

1993 was also the year for The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus, so that year definitely was one hell of a spooky one. The film follows the Addams Family and their quest to return their Uncle Fester to the family home and save him from gold-digger Debbie. If you have never seen it before then you're in for a real treat!

Picture
Friday

Continuing with yesterdays movie, today we're going to be the Addams Families own cousin It! Right now is the perfect time to get everything together to make this too as is requires chicken wire (which might be on sale as Summer begins to end), wire and Hula skirts.

You'll of course need a hat and glasses but these you should easily be able to get your hands on too. If chicken wire isn't for you though, why not substitute it for a tomato cage instead?

You can read all the steps on how to make your own Cousin It right here.

Picture
Saturday

This make is another easy one and you can make these anyway you like. The possibilities are endless with how you want these to look but something we can all agree on is that they look great!

These DIY spell books require mainly books, a glue gun and paints. Which you most likely will already have at home.

The tutorial does require you to use old books to make these but if like me that stresses you out a little (you can't deface books, they're books!) then why not use the book storage boxes to make these instead? Find out all of the details on how to make your own spooky spell books right here.

Picture
Sunday

The final make for this week isn't exactly a make you could get made today but it's one you can easily get together to make for Halloween.

This Candy Corn Pom Pom Wreath looks so cute and would look amazing hanging on any door. This is another low cost make that you can easily buy everything for from stores like Hobby Craft and potentially The Works.

To find out all the details on how to make your own Candy Corn wreath just head right over to here.

Todays make might be a little tricky to put together but it's not impossible and it is 100% worth it!

Inspired by my recent find in Homesense here in the UK, these Shadow Box Pumpkins can be put together fairly quickly and designed in all kinds of different ways. The Haunted House pumpkin is definitely my favourite of the three pictured.

All you really need are artificial pumpkins, black card and battery powered tealight candles to put these together but they're a decoration that will last for many, many years to come! Find out how to make your very own Shadow Box Pumpkins right here.

The past few weeks movie night has been on the weekend but not this week! Instead Wednesday is this weeks movie night and we're watching Beetlejuice!

Released in 1988 Beetlejuice grossed a total of $74,000,000 worldwide and quickly became a cult favourite. A sequel has been rumoured for many years with the original title planned to be Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. Although as of yet no official announcement has been made, an animated tv series was also released in 1989 and ran for 4 seasons.

'The spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home, and hire a malicious spirit to drive them out'

Inspired by yesterdays movie, today we're making these Potted Sand Worms!

They may looks  a little complicated but they're actually really easy (and fairly quick) to make. The tutorial shows you exactly how to make them in the picture but why not add a small stake into the base of these and place them inside actual plant pots?

These would look great amongst any indoor plants or even dotted around your garden (be sure to weatherproof them if this is the plan). Find out all the details on how to make these right here.

Booooooooook! Or should I say Brooooowwwwnniees! Who doesn't look Hocus Pocus? And also who doesn't love a good brownie? Add the two together and you've got literal magic in your mouth!

These Spell Book brownies look so tasty and how don't require much work at all. These would look great at a Halloween party or even if you're having  Hocus Pocus themed night.

Check out all the details on how to make these right here and let's get baking!

This little make is extremely easy and quick but should easily keep any kids entertained for quite a while.

All you need to make this sweet little ghost bunting is masking tape, a black pen/felt, string and scissors!

You can then design as many different ghosts in all different shapes and sizes to make a truly unique and spooky bunting decoration. Check out everything you need to know to make your very own right here.

Your final make for the week is one that I absolutely adore. These spooky little haunted houses are made from bird houses!

Right now is most likely the best time to get making these too, as so many stores are already starting to display their autumnal products and bird houses will start to be reduced in many stores to clear out all of the spring/summer stock. Here in the UK you can easily pick up a wooden bird house from The Works for a couple of pound too.

Read up on all the details right here on how to make your very own Haunted House!

We're starting this week with a fun little make. These orange jack-o'lantern fruit cups are a quite and easy treat that's sure to be a hit during the summer.
There's currently a heatwave sweeping the UK so these would be perfect to munch on in the garden during these hot summer days.

Check out all the details on how to make your own right here.

If you're like me, then you'll love a good Halloween book and Book Bub have put together a list of 24 books that are perfect to read for Halloween. Some of the classics have made the list including The Witches, Practical Magic and Stardust.

So today we're going to be reading about... well reading! I have included this list as I tend to read more throughout the Summer leading up to Halloween and while searching for book suggestions I came across this list and thought many of you might like to check it out too.

Oh and if you love a good book club too, be sure to check out Spooky Little Halloweens Book Club on Facebook!

With Halloween already making itself comfortable in stores, one thing I see a lot of people go crazy for every year are Halloween pillows.

A few years ago it was quite difficult to find any kind of Halloween pillow in the UK and for those that still can't seem to find one, today we're making our very own pillow instead.

This is a quick make that doesn't require many steps at all but looks absolutely fangtastic! Find out all the details right here.

I absolutely love todays project! Today is all about ice cream and so it's only right that we make these adorable ice cream witches.

These look great and also taste great too. There isn't all that much work to put these together either, the hat is actually the main bulk of the work but really doesn't take long to put together.

Serve these up at your next garden party, Halloween get together or just for yourself when you fancy a spooky little treat. Check out how to make these treats right here.

Today's make will give your shoes wings! These DIY Bat Wings attach to your shoes and require no sewing at all. You can make these very easily and will most likely have everything you need already at home.

You can upcycle an old pair of shoes with these bat wings and add a new lease of life to them. Find out all the details on how to make these, including the free stencil right here.

Saturday

The weekend is here and so Saturday is this weeks movie night and tonight we're watching A Ghost Story.

A Ghost Story follows C who tragically dies and returns as a ghost. He takes on the form of a sheet ghost and returns home to his wife, although he cannot interact with her in any way, the film follows him watching his wife grieve and gradually move on and all the processes in-between.

This film might not be for everyone but I do highly recommend watching it as it's a fun little film that does make you think long after the credits have ended.

Sunday

Let's end the week with one final quick and easy make. If you didn't watch yesterdays film or are in the mood for a film tonight, these spider bowls will make great popcorn bowls!

You can make these with three things... paper bowls, straws and goggly eyes!

Check out how to make these right here.

The start of spooky season has finally landed in the UK and although summer still has over a month to go before Autumn arrives, now is the perfect time to get out there and hunt down those spooky treats. Stores such as TK Maxx, Homsense and The Range all have Halloween products available now with more stores starting to stock products too. So todays make are these super quick and easy Halloween shopping bags!

You can customise these with any fabric you like and you'll be ready to trick or treat yourself in no time. Find out all the steps on how to make your own bag right here.

Did you know yesterday (Sunday August 2nd)  was National Colouring Book Day? Well to celebrate Sandstar Art released a free colouring page and it is adorable! So today we're going to be colouring in.

You can download this page right here and be sure to share your completed pages in the comments of their original post too.

If you wanted more free colouring pages then I also released two free activity packs during lockdown that you can download right here and here.

We're continuing with fabric today and going with this awesome felt Halloween Chandelier.

You could make this easily with items you might already have around the house, so for some of you this will be ready to make right away. The instructions require iron-on black letters but you could very easily switch this for cut out felt letters and simply glue these on too.

To find out how to make this cute little decoration just head right over here.

Todays make is a really quick and easy creation but the way The Shabby Tree has used these diy witch hats gave me some great decorating ideas and so I thought these would be great to share too and help with this years Halloween decorating.

The instructions require you to spray paint these black but just like yesterdays make, you can easily substitute the black spray paint with black card and avoid breathing in any fumes.

Check out how these are used and also the instructions right here.

It's time for a little bit of reading today and i'm sharing a short article about six of the most haunted places in Edinburgh.

I have visited Edinburgh so many times and every single visit I have fallen more and more in love with it. The city itself is absolutely gorgeous and its dripping with sinister history and haunted streets. This article delves briefly into some of the most haunted places within the city. Hopefully this will peak your interest into looking into this wonderful city even more and will lead you down a spooky rabbit hole into it's dark past. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this city then definitely go! I highly recommend the Vaults, which alone have heaps of history and twisted tales. If you can book an overnight ghost hunt too, then definitely do so... you will not regret it!

Picture
Saturday

These ghosts are quite simply adorable and another easy make. I have shared a similar make in the past using cheese cloth but these ghosts take a little more work (but not much more). They look great with battery powered tealights underneath too.

Place these around your house, within a mini pumpkin patch or just use a cute little lamp this Halloween.

Find out all the details on how to make these ghouls right here.

Let's end this week with a film, as tonight is movie night! This weeks movie is the cult classic and highly praised Bram Stokers Dracula!

Released in 1992, the film became the 9th highest grossing film of the year and was considered a box office hit. Over the years the film has developed cult status and is often seen as one of the best vampire films to exist.

The film stars Winona Ryder, Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves and Anthony Hopkins. If you have never seen this film before then tonight is the perfect night!

Let's still this week with a little up-cycling! As we're kick starting another spooky week with these tin can lanterns.

They're easy to make and take hardly any time at all. If you have a nail, hammer and some empty tin cans then you're pretty much all set. The tutorial does require print outs so you can hammer around your designs but if you simply draw the designs you would like onto the tin cans and then follow your own lines with the nails, you're all set.

Find out all the details right here.

Today's make is the opposite of yesterdays make... so instead of a quick and easy project, today we're going for something that will take a few days to make but looks a-ma-zing!!

This witch house is made entirely from cardboard and paint. The video tutorial breaks down every single step on how to make your very own house.  This would look incredible as a table centrepiece or just a decoration around your house this Halloween (or leave it out all years because people need to see this!).

Check out all the steps right here.

Wednesday

Today we're cooking and this one is definitely a recipe you'll want to make over and over again. Whip up a batch of this slow cooker pumpkin chilli for a nice hearty treat.

Add a few tortilla chips for scooping and this dinner is perfect for a nice cosy night in. You can also freeze this too so if why not make a big batch and enjoy throughout Autumn?

Find all of the details for this tasty dish right here.

I really love this make, its quick, simple but really effective and a whole lot of fun to put together.

This One Hour Broom Parking sign is made using wood, paints and hooks. You could make this for Halloween as a decoration you bring out year after year or just a general home decoration. Personally I would hang this above the door in my kitchen.

Make your very own parking sign right here.

Friday

Last Halloween one product that quite a few people went crazy for was eyeball plants. They were available in places such as Homesense and TK Maxx here in the UK and quite a few of you were on the hunt for them.

There is a chance they might be back this year.. but if not why not make your own? Now is the perfect time to make them too as so many stores have artificial flowers available for Summer decorations. This particular tutorial using plastic eyeballs that you should be able to get closer to Halloween from stores like Poundland, The Range etc or substitute these for ping-pong balls and draw the details on yourself?

You can also make the flowers without purchasing artificial flowers and use felt that you cut and wrap around the eyeballs until you have a flower. You can find out how to make these flower right here and a felt example can be found here.

Saturday

I have shared countdown calendars in the past and let's be honest... you can never have too many Halloween calendars, so here is another!

This Calendar will take a little time to put together but it looks fangtastic and is actually a lot of fun to make and also use throughout October. Each day is a little hanging tag then when removed has a new activity to complete each day.

A great idea to make for the kids or even just for yourself. Why not make one with a new project for you to do each day as you countdown to the best day of the year? Start day one with decorating a room, day two baking, day three a craft project until you have a completely spooky house for October 31st.

You can find out all the details on how to make this right here.

Sunday

It's the last day of the week and so to help you unwind after the end of this busy, crafty week, i'm making today movie night!

This weeks film is the brilliant Happy Death Day and if you have never seen this.... where have you been? Happy Death Day is definitely one of my favourite films of the last decade and it's a load of fun too.

The film follows Tree, a college student who ends up murdered... only when she dies, she suddenly wakes up starting the day all over again. The only way to break the loop is to find her killer and stop herself getting killed once again.

It's such a great film and although the sequel isn't as good as the first it's also a lot of fun too and definitely one to check out right after you have watched this too.
