Funkoween 2022! Check Out All Of The Spooky Funko Releases You Need This Year!

Funkoween returned for a third year in a row this week and the three day event did not disappoint!

Heaps of new Funko Pops and Loungefly products were revealed which included new and returning franchises. The most popular film this year was definitely The Nightmare Before Christmas, with plenty of new treats being revealed.

Neon Pops also appeared to have a big focus this year too, with many Funkos receiving the neon treatment.

I've put together some of my favourite reveals from this years event but be sure to also check out the official Funko social pages or search #Funkoween to view even more of this years releases.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas was clearly the dominating film this year for new releases and fans can look forward to new Funko Pops, Keychains, T-shirts and even a new calendar!

Bride of Chucky

Bride of Chucky Fans have been treated to five new Pops, new Pins and a brand new Loungefly bag too!

Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus fans were treated to two surprises this week. The first being this brand new Movie Moments Funko Pop which features the Sanderson Sisters during their performance of "I Put A Spell On You". This new Pop will be available exclusively at Spirit Halloween in the USA and will be coming to Shop Disney in Europe and the UK later this year.

The release date for the upcoming sequel was also revealed this week, with the film being released exclusively on Disney+ September 30th 2022.

Disney Villains

If you're a Disney Villain fan then you're in luck! A new Disney Villain Funko Train, larges Pops, Mystery Minis and more were all revealed this week.

Trick 'r Treat

Two new Trick 'r Treat Pops were revealed this week. A new Sam holding his Lollipop and Sam holding a Sack Funko Pops will be released later this year, along with new treats from Loungefly.

I do love seeing more TrT Pops but it would be great to see a few more characters in the future.

Disney

Disney are continuing with the Funko Halloween line and have revealed six new Pops along with new Loungefly bags and clothing too!

The Simpsons

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Pops are coming soon, which also includes for the first time ever, two new Itchy and Scratchy Funko Pops too!

Soda Pops

Soda Pops have definitely increased in popularity over the years, so it's nice to see even more new characters being revealed. Some of the newest reveals include Duncan from Stranger Things and Slimer from Ghostbusters.

Boo Hollow

The Boo Hollow range is such a spooky cute range and it's nice to see you'll be seeing even more of this range in the future. New plushies, Pops and mystery minis are just some of the new treats coming your way soon.

Horror

Leprechaun has received the Pop treatment with three new Pops! You'll also be able to get your hands on a new Carrie Pop and new neon IT and Michael Myers too.

Nosferatu

Nosferatu is another new additional to the Funko Pop line! This new Pop will be available in two different designs.

E.T

E.T fans rejoice as you're receiving heaps of new treats this year. You'll be able to get your hands on new Funko Pops, which includes a large Movie Moments Pop too!

Elvira

To celebrates 40 years of Elvira, she's been given the neon treatment.

Ten Spooky Product Finds For March 2022

Can you believe we're already a quarter of the way through 2022 already? Where is this year going?

As we end March and fall into April, we can look forward to the fact that the end of April marks 6 months until Halloween!

We're so close to the halfway mark now that I can almost smell the scent of pumpkin spice in the air...

Until then though, here's ten of my spooky finds for March 2022. These are ten products I have discovered in the last month that I think you would really enjoy.

Halloween Beach Towels

As much as it pains me to say it... Summer will be here before you know it and that means sunbathing, the beach and lots of Sunshine!

Be the talk of the beach with these spooky cute beach towels from Odd Like Us. They're available in a Jack O Lantern and ghost design or the even cute Jack O Lantern Daisy style.

The design is printed on one side, with the other made from super soft terry fabric, making it also more absorbent.

Flying Witch Tealight Holder

Cast a little magic in your home with this Flying Witch Tealight holder.

The holder is made from ceramic and features a flying witch, along with stars and dots all around. As you can see from the picture, when it's lit it casts a magical design all over your walls and surfaces.

You can also grab this in seven different colours. This holder would look amazing in the place of a pumpkin at Halloween (or have both?).

Trick or Treat Black Cat T-Shirt

Show off your love for Halloween all year with this Trick or Treat Black Cat T-shirt from Austin Pardun Art.

If you're a huge Halloween lover, then you should already be well aware of Austin Pardun's work as they are definitely one artist that is keeping the Halloween spirit alive all year.

You can get your hands on this super cute, vintage style t-shirt that features a Black Cat popping out of a Jack O'Lantern, but be warned, this is only available in limited quantities, so grab it before it's gone!

Gothmas Witch Ornament

Gothmas might be just under 9 months away, but that doesn't mean you can't prepare yourself for making another holiday a little spooky.

This decoration features a witch silhouette on a wooden plaque. A gold star and moon have also been added, with a satin ribbon attached to finish it all off.

I really love this decoration and think it would look great out all year, hang it on your wall or your year round Halloween tree!

Halloween Tea Set

Pumpkin Spice Lattes might not available due to it being Spring but that doesn't mean you can't get your spooky drink fix!

While we all wait for the best drink of the year to return, fill the void with this incredible tea set from Vahdam! You could even make your own iced teas with these, to keep yourself cool when the weather warms up.

Halloween Michael Myers Bobblehead

Halloween Ends is due for release this October and although it might be the last Halloween film (for now) you can still re-live the original with this awesome Bobblehead!

Featuring Michael Myers dressed as a ghost from the original 1978 release. The bobblehead includes Bobs glasses and a phone at the base of the stand.

There's also many more Halloween and general Horror characters available from Royal Bobbles, but this is by far my favourite release so far.

Creepy Cross-Stitch

So many of us discovered new hobbies during lockdown and it was so great to see so many people getting back into crafting and art in general.

One particular craft that I saw a lot of people take up was cross-stitching and this book is perfect for any spooky ghoul who wants to create awesome cross-stitch designs for your home. There are 25 projects in total for you to complete, with easy to follow instructions too.

Bat Bottle Opener

Have you ever wished your bottle opener was a little more... spooky? Well wish no more, as you can now get your hands on this awesome Bat shaped bottle opener.

It's made by Ototo who are famous for their original and unique homeware products and this bottle opener is no exception. The head of the opener has cute ears and when you attach the cork screw to your bottle and pull up the handles, you'll also be greeted by bat wings too!

I absolutely love this and know a friend who would absolutely love this too, so it's definitely going into my basket.

Crystal Ghosts

While searching for gifts for a friends upcoming birthday, I came across these cute crystal ghosts. They're available in two different designs and five different stone types too.

The ghost pictured is made from Lava stone, while you can also purchase a ghost in Red Jasper, Tiger's Eye, Rose Quartz and Kambaba Jasper. Each ghost is around 2 inches high and comes in a gift box for safe storage.

The Red Jasper ghost is taller and comes in a more traditional sheet ghost design.

Black Cat Mug

I have said it before and I will say it over and over again... you can NEVER have too many Halloween mugs.

Top 10 Halloween films as chosen by you!

I asked you all via the October 31st Facebook page what films you like to watch at Halloween and you did not disappoint!
So many of you let me know what you watch every year, with some of you even adding in your Halloween traditions and stories, which was honestly so nice to read. As I was putting the list together it was clear very quickly what film was the number one choice with the second being a very close tie.
So without further ado, here is the top ten Halloween films, as chosen by you!

10 - Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is tenth on the list and what a great entry it is. The film follows Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) who is sent to investigate the town of Sleepy Hollow after reports of beheadings occurring by the Headless Horseman. Definitely one of Tim Burton's better films and always worth a watch each year, even if it's just for the pumpkin scarecrow at the very beginning!

9 - Practical Magic

Very happy to see this film make the list as it's a favourite of mine! Practical Magic is the story of two sisters who wind up accidentally killing an abusive boyfriend and try to hide his body but magic and the otherworld have other ideas. This film is such a great story (a prequel book has also been released this year too) and the soundtrack is enough to get your feet moving.

8 - A Nightmare On Elm Street

It's no surprise A Nightmare on Elm Street made the list, this film terrified me as a kid. A slain janitor returns to terrorise and murder teenagers in their dreams and the only way to stop him, is to wake up! Spawning a whole series of films, this is definitely a must watch any time of the year!

7 - It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Confession.. I only saw this for the first time in 2017 but instantly fell in love with. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is an adorable short film about the peanuts gang celebrating Halloween and the arrival of 'The Great Pumpkin'. First released in 1966, this film has become a timeless classic and I am so glad to say it will be a part of my Halloween every year from now on.

6 - Beetlejuice

Two words... Winona Forever. Beetlejuice is another Tim Burton film to make the list and rightly so. A recently deceased couple attempt to use the help of Beetlejuice to rid their home of an annoying family. Staring Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, this film is brilliant from start to finish. Oh and it has some killer quotes.

5 - Halloweentown

Halloweentown is a definite classic and another timeless masterpiece for Halloween. A young girl discovers she is a witch and uses her powers to help save the town. If you haven't seen it before, check it out as soon as possible!

4 - The Nightmare Before Christmas

The third and final Tim Burton film to make the list, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This was extremely close to actually being in third place but was knocked off the top three spot by one vote. If you haven't seen TNBC before then where have you been? Jack Skellington is tired of the same old Halloween every year and goes on the hunt for something new. He stumbles upon Christmas Town and decides that this year he'll be taking over Christmas for all. It just doesn't exactly all go to plan.
After watching it though, you'll have to decide whether it's a Halloween or Christmas film? Myself personally, I say it's definitely both!

3 - Trick 'r Treat

I watch this film so many times each year that it's just become a total go to Halloween film when i'm after that Halloween feeling. Trick 'r Treat features five interwoven stories that happen on Halloween night including a teenagers prank, secret killer principal and a group of girls who are after more than just a date. With the announcement of a sequel a few years ago, it really doesn't surprise me that it's in the top three as it's already a cult classic.

2 - Halloween

A list of top Halloween films would not be complete without the original Halloween film. You just knew it was going to make it on the list before you even clicked the link. For the small few who haven't seen this film, Halloween focuses on Michael Myers, a killer who killed his sister when he was only 6 and ends up in a mental asylum. 15 years later he returns and goes on a killing spree.

40 years later and the Halloween franchise is as big as ever! A brand new Halloween film has just been released in cinemas and instead of following the original sequels or even remaking the original, the new film ignores everything after the first film. Watch this and then get to the cinema to see the newest film. Ive seen it and it is amazing! Go go go!!

1 - Hocus Pocus

As I was going through all of the submissions, Hocus Pocus quickly started to add up as a film so many of you watch every Halloween and it's no wonder why. Hocus Pocus is an absolutely classic Halloween film and is currently celebrating it's 25th anniversary.
On Halloween night in 1693 Salem, three witches are hanged for the murder of a small child and the disappearance of her brother. Right before their lives come to an end Winifred Sanderson casts a spell that will allow them to return when a virgin lights the black flame candle. 300 years later a virgin lights it and all hell breaks out. This surprising family comedy from Disney is an all time favourite of mine and i'm so happy to see it reach first place!

This year Disney also released the Anniversary edition on blu ray which features trivia and never before extended and deleted scenes! If you haven't seen this before then I have no idea where you have been but see it, see it now, RIGHT NOW!

A few films that didn't make the top ten but definitely deserve a mention are The Addams Family, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, Tales of Halloween and Coraline!
