10 Spooky Things To Still Look Forward To In 2020

5/28/2020

I think we can all agree that so far 2020 hasn't exactly been the best year so far... but that doesn't mean we should just push it under the carpet and wait for 2021 to hurry up and save the day.

Although nothing this year is guaranteed, hopefully the ten things below will be enough to at least give you something to look forward to this year and still bring a little piece of Halloween to your day. Please also do let me know what you're most looking forward to this year too in the comments below!

Picture
New Funko Pops
Funko has revealed so many new Funko Pops recently for their Funkoween in May event.

This year will see the introduction of new Zombieland, Corpse Bride, The Craft and Marvel Zombie Pops. In fact there are so many new Horror/Halloween themed Funko Pops being released that I felt it was only necessary they had their own blog post, which you can check out right here.

Personally I am excited for the new Hocus Pocus funko pops (There are more characters than the Sanderson Sisters though Funko!) and also the new Corpse Bride pops too.

Picture
Shopping

Although a fairly easy one on the list, it definitely is something to look forward to. I know quite a few of you are worried that ranges might be affected this year due to the closure of so many stores from the Pandemic. At one point I saw rumours that some stores wouldn't be getting any Halloween stuff at all and honestly I could not find any fact behind any of these claims.

Whether you're going into a store or shopping online, there will be many new releases from all kinds of stores this year and it's definitely one thing to look forward to. I can't wait to see what Homesense and TK Maxx release this year as those are my two favourite UK stores and also have the best range of Halloween goodies each year.

Picture
American Horror Story

Although production might be a little delayed and also the theme changed due to the time of year being one of the key features of the new season, we will still get another American Horror story!

This years theme has already been teased but still we all have no idea what it is. Ryan Murphy even revealed a new spin off series called American Horror Stories is also in the works. The new show will focus on individual stories per episode instead of one long storyline per season.

Hocus Pocus Board Game

To say I am excited for this one is an understatement. Due for release this summer, Hocus Pocus the board game is being released by Ravensburger. The goal of the game is to defeat the Sanderson Sisters before sunrise, fail and they will live forever. This family friendly game also comes in a book style box and includes spells and quotes from the film. No official release date has been revealed yet but we do know that it's definitely coming this year.

Halloween Kills

The next installment in the Halloween franchise and also new trilogy, Halloween Kills is still due for release this October.

A very short behind the scenes video was revealed by Jamie Lee Curtis last Halloween and it reveals very quick scenes from the upcoming sequel. The story will continue directly where the 2018 release left off and will also continue into the final part of the trilogy Halloween Ends which is due to be released in 2021.

Jason Blum also revealed recently on twitter that the trailer is on the way. Fingers crossed we get a reveal of what's in store very soon.

You can check out the video teaser below.

Halloween Countdown Calendar

Although this does fall under Funko Releases I felt like this needed it's own place on this list as who doesn't love a countdown calendar?

Christmas can move aside as a new Halloween Countdown Calendar is about to hit the shelves and this one includes 13 mini Funko Pop figures from some of your favourite movies. Included in the calendar are Pops from Beetlejuice, The Nun, IT, Friday the 13th and The Shining.

Due for release in August, this will give you plenty of time to grab one in time for the spookiest month of the year.

Picture
Bethany Lowe Designs

A new year means so many new Bethany Lowe Designs products! If you're a collector or just love the odd piece, this years range of new arrivals will have something for everyone. I put a list of some of my favourite releases for this year, which you can check out right here.

So we can all look forward to new vintage style creations, brand new Johanna Parker arrivals and more. Speaking of Johanna Parker you can grab so many other treats from Johanna's Partners in Craft collections. A small group of independent artists and stores have worked with Johanna to release unique pieces.

Halloween

This year the spookiest day of the year it's at it's spookiest. Not only does it fall on a Saturday but there will also be a full moon!

What's more is that if you're in the USA the clocks actually go back an hour in the early hours of November 1st (UK is Oct 25th) so for those partying on Halloween night, you'll have an extra hour of spooky fun.
So get planning as whether we're in lockdown or not you will not want to miss out on this Halloween.

New Lego Haunted House

Lego have unveiled a brand new Haunted House set that is actually already available to VIP members but will have a general release on June 1st for everyone else.

The set contains 3231 pieces and includes 8 characters too. Aimed at adults (18+ age on the box) this set will allow you to build a Haunted House ride with actual motorised free fall lift! The motor is sold separately but honestly with how cool this is, you'll need it!

"Welcome to Manor von Barron, a spooky Haunted House theme-park ride packed with chills and thrills for all who dare to enter. Once home to one of the world’s greatest villains who travelled the globe in search of treasures to steal, this Haunted House is a nostalgic throwback to classic LEGO® adventure sets, so be sure to look for rare bricks and ancient artifacts hidden throughout this spooky set!"

The set is priced at £209.99 here in the UK.

The Haunting Of Bly Manor

If you enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House then you should be excited for the second season of the anthology series from Netflix. Bly Manor began production in September 2019 and luckily wrapped in February of this year making all filming (unless reshoots and additional scenes are required) completed. Which also means that it's on track to still be released this year.

The Second season will be based on The Turn of the Screw by Henry James and will include at least four of the original cast members returning as brand new characters. It has already been stated its a new story so there will be no link to the original.

There is no official release date yet but my guess is we'll be seeing it around the spookiest month of the year!

Seven Spooky Things To Do This Week! May 25th - May 31st. Theme: Trick or Treat!

5/25/2020

Picture
Missing Halloween and the month of October? Me too! So from now until Halloween, each week they'll be a new 'Seven Spooky Things' post to ensure you can add a bit of Halloween to your day 365 days a year.

These Seven Spooky Things should keep you well spooked from May 25th to May 31st. Throughout May each week will be themed and this weeks final theme is Trick or Treat!
If you want to add some tricks and treats to your own home then you'll love this weeks SST.

Check out this weeks activities below:

Picture
Monday

This week is all about Tricks and Treats! So expect candy crafts and makes. Kick-starting the week we're going to be making homemade peanut butter cups!

One of the most popular Halloween candies in America and so it's only right the week is started by making them ourselves. They're easy to make and only take around 15 minutes.

Find out how to make your very own cups right here.

Picture
Tuesday

Todays make is this really sweet Jack'o Lantern Trick or Treat bag. It will take a little time to make but it's 100% worth it!

You'll be able to use this year after year too so you won't need to worry about finding another bag each Halloween. Plus why not use this for some light shopping too? Just because it's intended use is a treat bag, does not mean you can't take it out to get groceries.

Find out all the details you need to make your own bag and get stitching right here.

Picture
Wednesday

Todays make is super easy, super quick and super fun (also super spooky). These Lolly Pop ghosts can be made with things around the house and would be a great little hide and go treat game for the kids.

All you really need is some paper/cloth, lollies and ribbon. Find out all the details on how to make these quick treats right here.

Picture
Thursday

Continuing with yesterdays ghost theme, today it's less of a make and more of a dress up. Now this one you might want to pin until Halloween or if you're in a decorating mood get dressing up now.

All you really need for this is some white fabric, mini treat buckets and dolls. You can either buy a few cheap dolls or if you have them in your home then you're pretty much all set. Just drape a circle of white fabric over each doll with black eyes drawn onto the fabric and attach a treat bucket to each hand. Easy!

They make great little trick or treater decorations for your porch or just give your doll a spooky make over. This idea comes from Good Morning America and can be found here.

Picture
Friday

It's nearly the end of the week and today we're going to be doing a little up-cycling. Using old tin cans, paint, tape and card you can make your own tin treat buckets. Use them for trick or treating or just as cute little storage pots.

You can find a template for the wings and all the details right here. Why not create your own designs too and create a whole collection of spooky tin buckets that will also help the planet by reducing waste?

Picture
Saturday

Saturday is movie night this week and once again you've got two films to choose from.

The first is the hugely popular and now cult classic film Trick'r Treat!

Released in 2007, Trick'r Treat was actually only shown at a small number of screens and didn't have a wide release. Over the years the film has grown in popularity with
Picture
a sequel officially announced in 2016 (although nothing has happened since it's announcement). The film is an anthology film that follows four different stories on Halloween night that are all linked together in one way or another. Definitely not one for the kids but definitely worth a watch.
Your second film for today is the highly enjoyable Monster House. The film focuses on three kids who discover their neighbours house isn't just haunted but actually a living breathing monster. The film is a lot of fun and worth a watch every October!
Picture
Sunday

Your last make of the week, the last make of the month and also the last make of our themed weeks is here... sad face, BUT it's a great one as today we're going to make HOMEMADE CANDY CORN!

This recipe does require quite a few steps and ingredients but once you get the hang of it, not only will you be able to make your very own Candy Corn whenever you like but you'll be able to make it year after year as Halloween treats too!

Find out all of the details you need to make your very own sweet treats right here.

Funkoween Is Here! Halloween-Themed Funko Releases You Need This Year!

5/22/2020

Picture
Funko has official made this week (May 18th-22nd) Funkoween and all week they have been revealing Halloween-themed Pops that will be hitting stores this year.

From The Nightmare Before Christmas all the way to brand new Countdown Calendars there really is something for everyone and this week's releases have been so great to see each day.

I've put together a list of some of my favourite reveals for you to check out below. Now excuse me while I figure out how badly my bank account is going to be hit...
The Nightmare Before Christmas

Extending the already huge range of The Nightmare Before Christmas Pop figures comes even more releases. This time you'll be able to get your hands on another new Sandy Claws Pop, Sally, Oogie, Jack and even a new release of the highly sought-after Mayor. The original Mayor Pop which was part of the very first release of NBC pop figures can now fetch you up to £200 on Ebay.

Along with these releases you can also get your hands on a new Oogie Boogie keychain, 10 inch Jack and also new Dorbz!
Marvel Zombies

One release I really didn't see coming is the release of a whole range of Marvel Zombies. The new zombie pops will be available as standard pop figures (with additional variants) as well as new Mystery Mini pops and Keychains!

All you need to do now is decide which ones you will be getting, if not all of them of course. As a side note how cool would a Marvel Heroes Zombie film be?
Disney Halloween Mickey and Minnie

How cute are these Minnie and Mickey Halloween Pops? Personally I have never been a huge fan of Mickey and Minnie as they're just not my thing but these I actually really love. The contrast of colours used really gives them a classic/vintage style look. I would by lying if I said I wasn't tempted to purchase these for myself this year.
Picture
Corpse Bride

Making their Pop debut these Corpse Bride pops are another surprise release for this year. Emily and Victor will be available (along with scraps who comes with Victor) and hopefully will pave the way for even more releases from this wonderful film in the future.
Picture
Hocus Pocus Flying Sanderson Sisters

For the third year in a row Funko are releasing more new Hocus Pocus Pops. As a huge fan of this film I am excited to add these to my collection. Funko have already released 7 other Sanderson Sister pops the first being the standard Sanderson Sisters with their brooms, the second release saw them posing (Mary with her cheese balls is still my favourite of them all) and the Movie Moment set which featured all three sisters around a cauldron.

This year we will once again see the Sanderson Sisters return but this time they're flying. As much as I do love these pops, I am slightly disappointed by the lack of other characters that Funko are still yet to release (or even consider). It would be great to see Dani, Max, Billy, even the Mom dressed as Madonna would be amazing. Come on Funko get releasing more from this classic!
Picture
Halloween Minions!

The Minions are now getting a Halloween makeover too with a brand new set of Halloween Pops. Available in five different designs, you'll be able to add these to the already growing collection of Minion pops.
Picture
The Craft

If you're a fan of The Craft then you will love these. All four of the main characters from the 1996 film are now available for the first time ever as Funko Pops and they really do look great. It's nice to see this film getting more merchandise released for it as it really is such a great film. A remake to this film is apparently also in the works although I personally do not think it needs it. The original has aged well and is a cult classic.
Picture
Killer Klowns From Outer Space

What's creepier than a film about killer clowns? How about Killer Klown Pops... Another Funko Pop Debut, these Killer Klown Pops will be released in three different designs and are sure to be a huge hit amongst fans of this horror franchise.
Picture
Zombieland

When I first saw they had revealed Zombieland Funko Pops this week I honestly thought these had already been released, so it was a nice surprise to find they're a new release. All but Little Rock are available from the Zombieland range which I honestly don't see the logic behind releasing all but one of the main characters but then giving Bill Murray two Pops? I can only assume more Pops are on the way in the future which will include the much needed Little Rock to complete this already awesome collection.
Picture
Child's Play 2 Chucky

A new addition to the Child Play range of Pop figures is the new 10 inch Chucky Funko Pop. Chucky is carrying a bloody knife and it's also the first 10 inch Pop to be released in the already growing range.
Picture
Edward Scissorhands

Edward Scissorhands has already had the Pop treatment in the past but now the range is about to get even bigger with not one but five new Edward Pops and for the first time ever a new Kim Pop. I actually think Edward looks slightly better than the original release and it's also great to see him recreating a few other scenes from the film. It's nice that they have released Kim along with the new collection too. Now let's get Peg a release and please Funko release Joyce with her Ambrosia Salad.
Beetlejuice

The ghost with the most has already been given the Pop treatment (along with Lydia) but for the first time we're being treat to Adam and Barbara in their full creepy transformation look and the look so, so good! I cannot wait to grab these two once they're available later this year.
Picture
Universal Monsters

Another extension to an already released franchise are these two new additions to the Universal Studios Monsters series. A new glow in the dark Frankensteins Monster and invisible man will be released later this year. Can you imagine if the invisible man release was just an empty box?
Picture
Halloween Countdown Calendar

The final release on this list is this new countdown Calendar. Designed to countdown the days to Halloween, this calendar includes 13 mini Funko Pops from some of the most popular film franchises around. Annabelle, IT, Little Shop of Horrors, The Shining, The Nun, Beetlejuice, The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and The Lost boys are all included in this release which actually makes up a total of ten confirmed Pops. Does this mean there are three more film Pops to be revealed or will this 13 figure set include 3 Pops from the same films?

This is an awesome release from Funko and I really hope they release these every year with new Pops each time. A 31 day calendar would also be awesome too. My only criticism to this calendar is that I wish the countdown started at 13 and then went down to 1 for Halloween but other than that it's perfect!

Seven Spooky Things To Do This Week! May 18th - May 24th. Theme: Pumpkins!

Missing Halloween and the month of October? Me too! So from now until Halloween, each week they'll be a new 'Seven Spooky Things' post to ensure you can add a bit of Halloween to your day 365 days a year.

These Seven Spooky Things should keep you well spooked from May 18th to May 24th. Throughout May each week will be themed and this weeks theme is Pumpkins!
If you want to add a little spook to your own home then you'll love this weeks SST.

Check out this weeks activities below:

Monday

To kick start this weeks theme of Pumpkins we're going to start off with some upcycling! Every single Halloween you'll always find the plastic pumpkin treat buckets in a whole bunch of different stores and if like me, you'll most likely have one sitting around the house somewhere.

So let's give it a little make over with a fresh new look! I love this make and how it adds a more vintage style to the bucket.

You can find out all the details on how to make this yourself right here.

Picture
Tuesday

Let's go into the kitchen for todays make. Today it's all about cheesecake and Pumpkin Pie cheesecake to be exact!

This is a very quick and very easy make and on top of all things very, very yummy! Serve with fresh cream or even ice cream if you're after something a little cool during these hot days that are creeping up on us.

Find out all the details right here.

Picture
Wednesday

Film night is here and just like the last two weeks, you've once again got a choice of two films to watch that fit nicely with the theme.

The first is the family friendly classic 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'. Released in 1966, Great Pumpkin is a Halloween classic that so many of you watch

Picture
yeah after year, myself included. It's an adorable story that follows Charlie Brown who is on the hunt for the Great Pumpkin on Halloween night. The second film for tonight is the not-so family friendly Pumpkinhead. After  a terrible accident a man conjures up a vengeful demon called Pumpkinhead to seek revenge. Release in 1988 the film actually has three sequels and has slowly developed a cult status.
Picture
Thursday

With the current pandemic you might have been one of those people who ended up stocking up on toilet paper... if you are or even if you just have an abundance sitting around the house then why not make use of one or two by making these toilet paper pumpkins.

They don't require any stitching and you can make them super easy with all different kinds of fabric. You can find out all the details right here.

Picture
Friday

I love a good Jack'o Lantern and even better when you can use them year after year, after year! These Paper Mache Jack'o Lanterns will take a little time to make but they really do look amazing.

Attach them to fairly lights (like in the picture) to give them an eerie glow or thread a string through the top and hang with a battery tealight candle inside!

Make your very own right here.

Picture
Saturday

Another easy make for you today but one kids will love. These felt pumpkins once again require no stitching at all and you can easily make them in a couple of minutes.

Once you get the hang of it too why not try making other things like ghosts and bats? Thread a string through the top and you've got your very old hanging decorations perfect for decorating or your Halloween tree. Get making your own right here.

Picture
Sunday

Your final make for this week is a big one, but one you can repeat over and over again to make all different kinds of things. You will need quite a few things for todays make so patience is definitely required but the final result is totally worth it.

Using etching cream (be sure to read the instructions on the bottle to stay safe) you can make your own etched glass Pumpkin Tealight holders. They look great, would make great gifts and you'll be able to reuse them every Halloween.

Find out everything you need and how to make rigth here.

We're staring this week with a bit of up-cycling! Grab those old empty bottles and let's get making our very own potion bottles!

What I really like about this little craft project from A B Whelan is that you can make a whole bunch of different bottles with all different contents in. So whether you want to make a spooky little display for Halloween or just something that will look great in your home, these are super easy to make.

Find out all the details on how to make these right here.

Tuesday

Today is another make that involves jars but this time it's a little more practical. Today you can make your very own Lavender Oil. Lavender Oil has so many different benefits and it's really easy to make. You can use this on your skin and also just around the house in general as it smells wonderful. Lavender also helps you sleep so if you're struggling, get making!

Everything you need to make this can be found right here.

Picture
Wednesday

Get ready for your house to smell amazing as we're making Apple Pies! Not just any Apple Pie but these really cute pentagram topped pies.

What's more is that these are also vegan so you can eat as many as you like knowing they're 100% cruelty free. They're really easy to make and also look great too.

Check out what you need to make these right here.

Thursday

When Halloween rolls around stores are usually filled with plastic Pumpkin buckets and cauldrons. So if you have one just around the house then today's make will give it a little makeover!

Today you can give your cauldron a really awesome bubbly transformation. Imagine this on your table at Halloween filled to the top with candy!

Friday

It's movie night! And continuing with the two film option for this month you've got two witchy films to feast your eyes upon.

Your first choice for tonight is the kid friendly Kiki's Delivery Service. This Studio Ghibli film follows the story of young witch Kiki and her cat Jiji who travel together to a new town and set up a new flying delivery service.
Picture
It's a lot of fun and perfect for all the family. Plus if you've never watched a Ghibli film before be sure to check out many of the other wonderful films they have created over the years.

Your second film for tonight is the not-so kid friendly Blair Witch. The third film in the franchise (you don't need to watch the other two to understand the story) which was a surprise release in 2016, once again focuses on a group of young adults venturing into woods in search of the Blair Witch.
Picture
Saturday

It's the weekend and today you can make five different decorative crystal ball. Some of these will take a little time and patience to make but they really do look great.

Depending on which one you would like to make (if not all of them) all depends on what materials you will need but all are fairly easy to make and a whole lot of fun.

Find out all the details right here.

Picture
Sunday

Your final thing for this week is this DIY Sparkly Witch Broom! This one might require a little trip outside but it will be worth it.

You'll need to collect quite a few twigs for this and if possible a long-ish branch but you can easily find these pretty much anywhere. Grab all of these together, your glue gun and let's get making!

This would look great indoors or outside. You could even wrap a set of battery powered fairy lights around this or even weave them through the twigs and hide the battery pack underneath to give this even more of a twinkly effect.

To make your very own broom head right on over to here.

Seven Witchy Films To Watch

5/10/2020

Picture
If you're wanting to add a little big of magic to your day (the good or bad kind) then this list of seven Witchy films to watch might just help.

Not all of the films listed are kid friendly, so if you're after a family friendly film maybe avoid 3,5 and 7 but all are worth a watch. This is just a tiny amount of some of the awesome Witch themed films available and i'm sure they'll be a part 2 in the future so be sure to let me know what Witchy films you love in the comments below.

Picture
Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is possibly one of the most famous Halloween films around but did you know it wasn't always the case? The film was originally released in July (because July is such a spooky month right?) in the USA and October in the UK. It didn't do well at the box office at all and most would have thought it would be forgotten.

As we all know that isn't the case and over the years it has become a huge classic that is shown many times, every single year in October. The film follows Max, Dani and Alison who have to stop a trio of witches from sucking the lives out of all the children in Salem. If you have never seen it then stop reading this article and go and watch it NOW.

Picture
The Witches

Another classic is Roald Dahls The Witches! Staring Anjelica Huston, The Witches follows the story of Luke who has recently become an orphan. He is sent to live with his Grandma. When they take a visit to a seaside hotel Luke soon discovers that the Grand High Witch is having a meeting with all the other witches at the same hotel. He learns of their plan to turn all children into mice and must try and stop them.

I remember watching this film as a child and it terrified me but watching it again made me realise how fun this movie really is. It's definitely worth a watch and if you have time be sure to read the original book too.

Picture
The Witch

The Witch or The V VItch as I like to call it (why use two V's to make a W?) is another film that's worth a watch. It's not incredibly fast moving but totally worth watching until the very end.

The Witch follows a family who are cast out of their village due to accusations of witchcraft. After setting up home elsewhere and alone their youngest child is taken by what they assume is a witch. As they hunt for their missing child the possibility that they've been cursed by an actual witch begins to build and life as they know it takes many twists and turns.

Picture
Practical Magic

Practical Magic is possibly one of the first films that come to mind when you think of films about witches and rightly so because it's a great film.

Practical Magic follows two witch sisters who grow up with their two aunts. After they accidentally kill a man (he deserved it) they try and cover up his death. With the police on their trail and a few paranormal twists it doesn't work out as easy as they hoped. The book is also worth a read along with the prequel book that focuses on the early years of the two aunts. If that's also not enough the soundtrack features songs by the wonderful Stevie Nicks.

The Blair Witch Project

The Blair Witch Project was released in 1999 and was such a phenomenon that for a while a lot of people questioned whether it was actually real or not. I remember not being able to go to the cinema to see it due to being too young but begging my sister to rent it from Blockbuster when it was released. I did eventually watch it and terrified myself.

The film follows a trio of film students who venture into a Maryland forest to film a documentary about the legend of the Blair Witch. It very quickly becomes apparent that they're lost and that the legend of the Blair Witch might not be just a legend at all. A sequel to the original film was released a year later in 2000 although the found footage concept has been dropped for the sequel. In 2016 a surprise reveal also announced a third film in the franchise was released and it's as good, if not better than the original.

Howl's Moving Castle

Howl's Moving Castle is one of many wonderful Studio Ghibli films and witches actually appear in quite a number of the Films. Moving Castle is one of my favourites and it's such a fun film that it just had to make the list.

The film follows Sophie who is unfortunately cursed by a witch. The curse has turned Sophie into an old woman instead of her usual 18 year old self. Hoping to break the curse she comes across Howl's Moving Castle and ventures inside where she makes a deal with a Fire Demon who promises to break her curse if she can help break the contract he has with the wizard Howl.
If you enjoy this film then be sure to check out other Ghibli classics such as Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbour Totoro and Ponyo.

The Craft

When thinking of films with witches the Craft is most likely on a lot of peoples lists, which is why it had to be included. A remake is currently in the works although I personally think it doesn't need one.

The Craft follows Sarah who recently starts at a new school. When she becomes friends with a trio of outcasts they join together to start playing around with magic. To begin with it all seems like harmless fun with personally benefits for each of them but when one of the girls starts using it for the wrong reasons the film soon takes a dark turn.

Tuesday

Tomorrow is going to be movie night so today we're making these awesome candy/popcorn buckets. All you need is card (and lot's of yummy snacks to fill these with) and a craft knife and you're all set!

You can also download the templates for these from the link here and find out all the details to make these perfect. These really do look fantastic and if you're not in the mood for snacks why not place a few battery tea lights inside and create a spooky glowing haunted house.

Wednesday

This week, as it's a haunted theme there are two films to check out!

The first film is the kid friendly The Haunted Mansion by Disney. Based on the popular ride of the same name and featuring Eddie Murphy, the film focuses on a family who go to Gracey Manor only to find it's haunted and not all is as it seems.

Picture
Now the second film is not one for the kids but for those of you who are after a film thats a little less child friendly and much more dark and creepy. House on Haunted Hill  follows a group of contestants who are offered $1 million if they can stay in a haunted house for one night. Little do they know that it's much more than just a few things that go bump in the night. HOHH is a remake of the original 1959 classic and is also worth a watch.

Thursday

If you watched The Haunted Mansion yesterday then you will recognise this clock! The 13 hour clock is a symbol of the mansion and is also present within the ride. Although you can buy actual replica clocks, they can be quite costly. So why not make your very own?

This make isn't the easiest and will require a lot of patience but is totally worth it and really does look fantastic. To find out everything you need to make this and all the details head right on over here.

Friday

Another make but a super easy one at that. All you need are pens and paper to create this really fun haunted house picture.

Although you can make these with ghosts and monsters behind each door, why not make an even bigger one and turn it into your very own Halloween countdown calender with 31 doors. It might only be May but that does not mean you can't get your calendar ready for October now.

If you want to make your own Haunted House then check out this link.

Saturday

It's the weekend and so let's get making these ghost cakes. You can make the actual sponge any way you like and as they're covered in icing why not make the inside a spooky surprise?

They don't take long to make at all but look great. All you need is cake mix, icing, chocolates chips and cake cups. You might even have all of these at home already.

Make your own ghosts right here.

Sunday

It's time to relax with a book to end Haunted Week and this book could not be anymore perfect to fit with the theme. 199 Cemeteries To See Before You Die by Loren Rhoads is a book filled with 300 photographs of 199 of the best cemeteries you need to check out and if you can't get to them all then this book will take you there.

The author also goes into detail about what makes each one so fascinating and also if any famous people are buried there and more. It's definitely worth a read.

You can grab this book from Amazon, Post Script and Emporium 32.
