To kick start this weeks theme of Pumpkins we're going to start off with some upcycling! Every single Halloween you'll always find the plastic pumpkin treat buckets in a whole bunch of different stores and if like me, you'll most likely have one sitting around the house somewhere.
So let's give it a little make over with a fresh new look! I love this make and how it adds a more vintage style to the bucket.
You can find out all the details on how to make this yourself right here.
Let's go into the kitchen for todays make. Today it's all about cheesecake and Pumpkin Pie cheesecake to be exact!
This is a very quick and very easy make and on top of all things very, very yummy! Serve with fresh cream or even ice cream if you're after something a little cool during these hot days that are creeping up on us.
Find out all the details right here.
Wednesday Film night is here and just like the last two weeks, you've once again got a choice of two films to watch that fit nicely with the theme. The first is the family friendly classic 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'. Released in 1966, Great Pumpkin is a Halloween classic that so many of you watch |
With the current pandemic you might have been one of those people who ended up stocking up on toilet paper... if you are or even if you just have an abundance sitting around the house then why not make use of one or two by making these toilet paper pumpkins.
They don't require any stitching and you can make them super easy with all different kinds of fabric. You can find out all the details right here.
I love a good Jack'o Lantern and even better when you can use them year after year, after year! These Paper Mache Jack'o Lanterns will take a little time to make but they really do look amazing.
Attach them to fairly lights (like in the picture) to give them an eerie glow or thread a string through the top and hang with a battery tealight candle inside!
Make your very own right here.
Another easy make for you today but one kids will love. These felt pumpkins once again require no stitching at all and you can easily make them in a couple of minutes.
Once you get the hang of it too why not try making other things like ghosts and bats? Thread a string through the top and you've got your very old hanging decorations perfect for decorating or your Halloween tree. Get making your own right here.
Your final make for this week is a big one, but one you can repeat over and over again to make all different kinds of things. You will need quite a few things for todays make so patience is definitely required but the final result is totally worth it.
Using etching cream (be sure to read the instructions on the bottle to stay safe) you can make your own etched glass Pumpkin Tealight holders. They look great, would make great gifts and you'll be able to reuse them every Halloween.
