As it's the first day of the week and also the very first in this new series of posts, it's only fair that it starts with something fun and easy. So your first thing to do is this Halloween quiz. Test your knowledge on all things spooky and see what result you get. There are only twenty questions but it should definitely add a bit of spook to your day. Check out the quiz right HERE
Today's spooky thing to do is to make a vase. Well... spook-up a vase. Spring is literally around the corner which means it won't be too long before all those flowers start blooming and everything is all colourful and green again. While we wait for all of them to die and Fall to come back around why not make this vase?
All you need is a vase, glue gun, black paint and you're pretty much all set. You can add other things to it as well like plastic spiders, mini pumpkins, ghosts and more. Once it's ready you'll have plenty of time to fill it with as much colour as you like and it'll really look great this spring. Find out more right HERE
Wednesday
Wednesday is the annoying day of the week where we're way past the weekend and yet next weekend still feels so far away. So tonight you can relax with a good flick as it's FILM NIGHT! Each week they'll be a new film to check out and this week is going to start with a classic. Your film for tonight is the one and only original Halloween film. This will surely get you into a Halloween mood and give you a boost of spookiness to make it through the rest of the week. |
Another craft day but look how cute this ghost is!! He's super easy to make and it'll take you less than 30 minutes to do. All you need to make one of these little guys is cheesecloth, Spray starch, scissors a glass, some black card and a round object.
You can make as many as you like and in all different sizes depending on what you can work with. Plus add a battery powered tea light candle underneath him to give him an eerie glow! This ghost will look great sitting around the home.

Friday
The weekend is here and it's time for a little self care. Today you don't need to worry about making or doing it's all about bath time. Run yourself a hot bath, get out those Fall/Halloween candles and if you have any Halloween bath bombs throw one in the bath and relax. Create a nice autumnal atmosphere that you can drift away into. You'll need to relax anyway as we're baking tomorrow! |
Saturday
Just because Winter is coming to an end doesn't mean it's out with the nice, warm and cosy comfort food and in with all the summery foods. What better way to make Winter last a little longer than with Pumpkin Spiced Muffins! As it's the weekend let's get baking these muffins, plus you'll have plenty to last into next week as well. Or even freeze a batch so you can have one every now and again throughout the year. Find out what you need right HERE. |
Sunday
Sunday is a day for rest and if you've completed everything this week then it's definitely well deserved! Today it's time to unwind with a good book, so grab a muffin, a nice hot drink and get reading! This weeks recommendation is The Familiars by Stacey Halls. Fleetwood Shuttleworth is 17 years old, married, and pregnant for the fourth time. But as the mistress at Gawthorpe Hall, she still has no living child, and her husband Richard is anxious for an heir. When Fleetwood finds a letter she isn't supposed to read from the doctor who delivered her third stillbirth, she is dealt the crushing blow that she will not survive another pregnancy. Then she crosses paths by chance with Alice Gray, a young midwife. Alice promises to help her give birth to a healthy baby, and to prove the physician wrong. As Alice is drawn into the witchcraft accusations that are sweeping the North-West, Fleetwood risks everything by trying to help her. But is there more to Alice than meets the eye? Soon the two women's lives will become inextricably bound together as the legendary trial at Lancaster approaches, and Fleetwood's stomach continues to grow. Time is running out, and both their lives are at stake. What is wonderful about this story is that it includes real people who existed during the Pendle Witch Trials but within a fictional story. Alice Gray was accused of witchcraft during the trials in 1612 along with 19 others. Stacey Halls has created a story that not only grips you within its pages but will also leave you wanting more when it ends. You can pick up a copy from Amazon. |
