Trick or Treat Studios have released this years product catalogue and it is bursting with so many amazing new arrivals.

There are so many things that are being released this year that I personally cannot wait to get my hands on, especially the new Trick 'r Treat goodies. I have highlighted some of my favourite new collectibles for this year below and be sure to hit the link at the bottom to check out the full catalogue.

All products will be available for pre-order later this year from Trick or Treat studios.

Halloween Franchise

New arrivals for the Halloween franchise is pretty much Halloween law. You simply cannot have a new Halloween without something new related to the films and I am already obsessing over the new Halloween 3 Witchboard!!

The board features the three famous masks in three corners and a Silver Shamrock Planchette that includes a snake across the front. The vintage style design really makes this board pop... I wonder if you could summon the ghost of Conal Cochran with this...
Picture
Joining the Witchboard is a new Young Michael Mask Clown Mask, Strode Realty and Santa Mira signs and a surprise product I never expected to see.... new Halloween Soaps in three different designs! I am so curious to know what the scent of these will be.

There are also new releases for Halloween Kills due this year which include a new Mask, Coveralls and Butchers Knife. These new products have not yet been revealed but should be closer to the films release (cannot wait!).

Trick 'R Treat

I love, love, LOVE the Trick 'r Treat Purses from TOTS, although I wouldn't use one myself, they do look amazing. They're created in partnership with the wonderful Love, Pain and Stitches and it's so great to see that the line is being extended this year with two new arrivals. The famous Jack o'Lantern from the film has been transformed into two new purses. The first being a standard black and orange design with the second release being a lit Jack o'lantern variant too.
Picture
When I saw the below decorations I gasped, I gasped so loud I think I hurt my throat. TOTS are releasing another Trick 'r Treat collection of card decorations and just look at them! The school bus which includes the children on-board and Rhonda and her home are part of the new designs. There's also two Sam decorations, with one that actually reminds me of the original animated short. These are definitely a Huge, HUGE need for this year.
Picture

Chucky

If you're a fan of Chucky then you're in luck as new dolls and busts from from The Seed of Chucky are on the way which include Tiffany and Glen. There's also two new masks from The Curse of Chucky to add to your growing collections too.

New Masks!

Originally I was going to features as many masks as possible but there are SO MANY new arrivals this year that i'm just going to feature some of my favourites. New Universal Studio Monsters masks coming soon include Gillman, Werewolf of London and Man Who Laughs masks. You can also complete the gillman look with Gillman hands too!

There's also brand new Scooby Doo villain masks and a new Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark Jangly Man mask. Many more of the new masks that are not featured below are from popular films such as The Purge, Ghoulies, Haunt, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and more, so be sure to checkout the full catalogue via the link below.

Carrie and Gremlins!

One of my favourite new products to see this year is the Carrie Prom Dress Outfit. It looks amazing and it's nice to see even more official merchandise being released for such a great film. Which speaking of great films... how incredible are the new Gremlins dolls! These two new dolls will be released alongside a new Splice O' Life metal sign.

Ornaments and Giftwrap

New to Trick or Treat Studios last year was a range of new wrapping paper and it's back and this time it's returning with ten new designs. The Halloween, Krampus and Trick 'r Treat wrapping paper is a huge must and I can actually see myself using these as backing for displays as I don't think I could let anyone tear through these, they are far too nice. Joining the new wrapping paper is The Shining, The Twilight Zone, Dungeons and Dragons and Iron Maiden wrap too.
Picture
Picture
There's also a whole bunch of new hanging ornaments releasing later this year. It's great to see the original 1978 Michael Myers joining the line up along with the Halloween 3 masks. Throw in the new metal decorations for Trick 'r Treat and Krampus and your tree for this year is pretty much all set!

Be sure to check out the full catalogue right HERE and for even more spooky treats head on over to the Trick or Treat Studios store.

January might only have just arrived and sure Halloween might also feel like its a million months away but that does not mean we can't all drool over this years Johanna Parker releases from Bethany Lowe Designs.

This year Johanna is releasing some amazing new additions to her growing range of spooky treats which includes new jars, lanterns, dummy boards and more!

Check out all of the new releases below and then maybe start thinking about where you can put everything as you will want it all.

Magic Catty Jack and Pumpkinny Lanterns

Kick starting this years releases by Johanna Parker from Bethany Lowe Designs are these two lanterns. Available as Magic Catty Jack or Pumpkinny, these lanterns are made from Paper Mache and are hand-painted.

If you place a battery tealight candle inside the faces light up with a warm, flickering glow. These would look so cute hanging on your Halloween tree or outside your front door to great the trick or treaters this year.

New Jars!

Johanna Parker continues to treat us each year with new jars and this years releases are a must. You'll be able to get your hands on Batter Baxter, Pumpkin Pete and the absolutely adorable Ghostie Stew.

Just like with previous releases you can open the jar by removing Baxter and Petes head. With Stew you remove his cute little hat. Each jar is made from hand-painted resin and is perfect to store your tricks and treats.

Roller Spooks!

Another brand new release to this years range are the Roller Spook ornaments. Available as Roller Spook Cat or Roller Spook Hoot and made from hand-painted resin. Each one measures around 7 inches high.

Dummy Board and Table Top Screen

When I was looking at all of the new Johanna Parker treats for this year, I honestly think my soul left it's body for a brief second when I saw these two new items.

These two new arrivals from Parker are incredible and I am already obsessing over them. A brand new Jack-O on Jack O'Lantern dummy board is coming this year as well as an amazing Spooky Tabletop Screen!

The dummy board measures approximately 11 inches high and is made from MDF. The Tabletop screen is 12 inches high and is also made from MDf and vellum.

Hanging Decorations

The first set of new hanging decorations are these Eavesdrop Tassel Ornaments. They're made from hand-painted resin and ribbon and are available in one of three different spooky characters.

The final new treat from Bethany Lowe Designs this year is a set of new laser cut tree decorations. These decorations are made from mdf and are available in four different designs.

I think it is safe to say that we've all got some saving to do... now excuse me while I go and breath into a paper bag and try and calm down from the excitement of all these amazing new products.

New Treats From Bethany Lowe Designs Halloween 2021 Collection That You Need This Year!

1/14/2021

Picture
We're only two weeks into 2021 but what a year it has been so far. While it might seem like 2020 part 2 is happening already, you'll be pleased to know that Bethany Lowe Designs has swooped in to save 2021 and has treated us to a whole heap of new treats from this years Halloween collection.

This includes so many new arrivals that will all be available later this year but due to how popular they are, it does not include this years Johanna Parker Designs products from Bethany Lowe... and that's because they have their own article right here (seriously they're so popular they have their own article to drool over).

So grab your Pumpkin Spice Lattes, your cosy blankets and lets check out this years new arrivals. Just a warning tough.. you will want everything.

Vintage Halloween

Let's start this off with the most exciting part of Bethany Lowe's new releases each year.... the vintage style Halloween treats!

I am always so excited to see all of the new vintage style products that are released each year and I can confidently say that all of the below products are on my list of things I need to buy myself this year (and also stock of course). Bethany Lowe are releasing three brand new masks, these are available as a skull, pumpkin and cat and can be used at parties or easily placed inside a vase for displaying. There's also matching hanging decorations to go with them too.

Last year we also saw the release of  set of three vintage paper treat bag hanging decorations. These decorations were so popular and actually sold out from the October 31st store twice. So I am so pleased to see that not only will we be able to get our hands on them again this year (with a new design) but they've also been switched from paper to tin. There is also a new large tin treat bag available too that would look great for placing candy inside or as a decorative piece.

New dummy boards are also on the way which includes a new retro style black cat (big, BIG need) along with a Gurley style Jack o'Lantern which lights up with a battery tealight candle and adorable hanging Jacks too!

Cats

You cannot have a new collection without throwing in a whole bunch of black cats and these cats do not disappoint at all. This year you'll be able to pick up new hanging decorations, along with large paper mâché decorations too.

Two of my favourite products from the new Cat products has to be the 'Cat's Got Your Pumpkin' decoration which is a large cat standing behind a Jack'o Lantern. You can easily place a couple of battery tealight candles inside the pumpkin to add a warm glow. This really would look incredible on your porch to great the Trick or Treaters this year.

The other product I especially love is the black cat silhouette hanging decoration. It's simple but has a vintage vibe I definitely cannot live without, so it's another thing added to my growing list of needs this year.

Ghosts

If your house wasn't already haunted, it will be with these new ghosts! Ghosts are one of my favourite things to collect and I have these on my list of ghouls I need to purchase this year.

Bethany Lowe are releasing more cute ghosts from Raggedy Pants Designs, which doesn't surprise me at all as  they flew out when added to the October 31st store, so to see more of these cuties is a really nice treat. You'll also be able to buy new bunting, buckets, light up ghosts and more.

My personal favourite from the new ghosties has to be the extremely cute little ghost popping up out of the pumpkin with his little star wand. That ghost is a definite need!

Spooky Houses!

I absolutely adore a spooky house, whether that be the real thing or an ornament/decoration, so when I saw that this years range will include a bunch of them I knew instantly I needed to get my hands on all of them.

This years range includes a Spooky House that can be lit up with the use of a corded light or battery tealights. The house has boarded up windows, a clock that's stuck at midnight and a cute little gravestone at the front. Oh and  bats coming out of the chimney to finish it all off.

You'll also be able to grab haunted house silhouette dummy boards, hanging decorations and a Haunted House Dead and Breakfast sign!

Witches

Witches are definitely another symbol of Halloween that you cannot live without and this years Witch treats are incredible. Last year Bethany Lowe released a witch Dummy Board that I just had to get (and did) and I am over the moon to see a new release this year. This years Bubble, Bubble Toil and Trouble dummy board witch has her standing over a bubbling cauldron with a full moon behind her.

There's also new hanging decorations which include the return of the Witch Moon decoration which is now perfect for hanging on your tree (last years release was a large wall handing decoration), a cute little 'If The Shoe Fits' witch in a shoe and Stella... the startle witch hanging decoration!

Jack O'Lanterns!

When you think of Halloween the first thing that comes to mind is a Pumpkin and Bethany Lowe have knocked the ball out of the park with this years Jack O'Lanterns.

This year they're releasing a whole family of light up gourds which include Perky Pumpkin, Jolly Jack Squash, Grouchy Gourd and Frightened Pumpkin. These light up by placing a battery tealight inside and I need them, neeeed them! I want to grab all 4 and place them inside a wicker basket with artificial leaves and just stare at them for hours on end because they all look fantastic.

Another two products I am in love with are Tricks Pumpkin Boy and Treats Pumpkin Girl decorations. Tricks is holding a toad bucket, while Treats is holding a Jack o'Lantern with a toad inside. These would look so great at the side of your fireplace or front door to greet trick or treaters. More new Pumpkin treats include the black Jack o'Lantern with skeleton hands, Light Up Luminaires  and large candy bowl!

Candy

It's always great to see more Candy Corn products each year and look how cute the Candy Corn hanging decorations are! These decorations are available in three different designs and would look great on your Halloween tree this year.

New treats from Chicken Lips include Crazy Candy Corn and Kooky Caramel Apples too and the sweet little Candy Corn Carl hanging decoration from Robin Seeber is another decoration you should keep your eye out for this year.

Skeletons

If you're a collector of Skeletons/Skulls then you're in luck. This years range includes a bunch of new Skeletal treats including the super cute hanging Stanley Skeleton from Robin Seeber along with Dapper Desmond (how awesome is his name?)  Skelly who has such a cool little skeleton bat and top hat.

You'll also be able to decoration your Halloween tree with three new hanging skulls or dress your home with these sweet light up Skulls

Extra Treats

These extra products are just some of the many more treats coming out this year that definitely are worthy of a mention in this article. There are so many wonderful new additions that it was actually very hard not to feature everything, but these products could not be left out.

One final favourite new release of mine is the mini Halloween Banners. They're available in two designs and are made from tin. The Spooky and Boo banners would look so great dotted around the house this Halloween or hanging from your spooky tree with the Trick or Treat Children hanging Silhouettes too.

There's also so many new cute animal decorations to look forward to this year along with a hanging Hocus Pocus wall sign and much, much more.

It's that time of year again... the spookiest and best time has crept by and we're now entering the jolliest part of the year.... Christmas or as many of us like to call it Creepmas (or Gothmas).

So for those of you who are missing Halloween and all of its spooky goodness, i've put together a list of some of my favourite Creepmas finds so far this year that will help you bring a little bit of Halloween into your home in December.

What's more is that all of these products are from Small Businesses too, so you'll be helping the little guys with any purchase you make.

Krampus Candle

How cool is this candle? It's available in full colour or a sandstone design and each one is hand carved. The design is incredible and definitely something you will want to add to your mantlepiece.

I know I wouldn't be able to burn this so this could easily be something that is put out year after year.

Each candle measures approximately 7 inches and is made using soy wax, which can also be scented from a whole range of different scents. So if you're after a seasonal scent too, then you're in luck!

You can grab one right here from Heathen Wax Works.

Picture

Christmas Bats Greeting Card

One thing I especially love about this time of year is greeting cards! I don't send many but those that I do, I always like to get the best alternative cards I can find and this one is no exception.

This card features cute bats flying around the Christmas tree and it is perfect for a spooky friend in your life.

You can grab this card (and many other designs) from Teeth and Claws right here.

Picture
Krampus Acrylic Brooch

I have shared treats from Dolly Cool a few times before and I am sharing another today because once again this years Christmas range is amazing.

Look how incredible this Krampu Brooch is! It's made using black glitter acrylic, with a red marble style acrylic layered on top, then hand finished using acrylic paint and also hand polished. This pin is pretty much perfection.

Picture
Ghost Hanging Decoration

This little cutie is a 3D printed ghost thats made using PLA. PLA is a biodegradable alternative to plastic and is made using raw materials which biodegrade in a matter of months and not years. How cool is that?

The decoration is also hand decorated and finished with a wire hook for easy hanging. You can grab this little ghoul from Thunder and Crafting who also have a bunch of other spooky decorations and wire creations, including a Ouija tree decoration!

Grab your own little cute ghost right here.

Picture
Tombstone Decoration

These Tombstone decorations from Skullduggery Ceramics are handmade using white earthenware clay and are inscribed with the words Memento Mori underneath a sinister set of skull and crossbones.

Each decoration is glazed with a monochrome gloss finish and topped off with a cute ribbon for easy hanging.

I absolutely love Skullduggery Ceramics and the store is bursting with all kinds of gothic treats that you definitely need to check out right here.

Picture
Giant Snake Gift Wrap

If you love The Nightmare Before Christmas then you will love this giant snake inspired gift wrap from The Crafty B.

Picture
Large Spider Snowflakes

Continuing with The Nightmare Before Christmas inspired products, this hanging spider decoration looks identical to the spider Jack cuts out in the film from paper and with that being said it looks amazing.

The Spider Decoration is 3D printed and actually comes as a set of four, which for the price (£4.50) is such a steal. They're also available in white too, so if black isn't your thing, the lighter design might just make you part with your pennies.

You can grab a set of these from Sinister Signs right here and be sure to check out all the other treats available from the store too.

Picture

Picture
Bat Print Christmas Stocking

The spooky stockings were hung in the crypt with a scare! This handmade stocking features a black and white bat design and is finished off with a white faux fur trim.

This would look great hanging on your fireplace or even at the end of your bed (just make sure Krampus doesn't get your toes). One thing I love about this is that it's reversible and the bat print is also sewn on the inside so you can easily turn it inside out for easy placement.

Check out all of the wonderful spooky treats from Sew Haunting including this stocking right here.

Recipe: Easy Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

10/13/2020

Picture
If you're like me then one of your favourite times of the year is when the the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks. Over the years more coffee shops here in the UK have adopted this seasonal drink and you can now find it in other coffee shops such as Coffee #1 and even Greggs!

I will admit I am quite fussy when it comes to Pumpkin Spice coffee and if it's not as good as the Starbucks flavour then it's a no from me, which is why I decided to try and create something myself that can easily be whipped together in less than ten minutes and will mean you can have Pumpkin Coffee any time of the year.

Over the past few weeks I have been looking into other recipes on how to make a nice creamer and after quite a bit of tweaking I feel like this is the best I can make it! So here it is, my own Pumpkin Spice Creamer. Luckily this year Asda has decided to stock tinned Pumpkin, along with Sainsburys (who seem to have it all year) so if you're struggling to find pumpkin, try there first. If you have no luck, Amazon is your friend. Oh and if you don't have pumpkin spice available just mix up 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger and 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves. Increase the quantities to make a nice large batch and maybe keep a jar in the cupboard throughout the year?

Picture
You will need:
250ml of heavy cream
250ml of Milk
4 tablespoons of soft brown sugar
2 table spoons of tinned pumpkin (or use the soft flesh from a fresh pumpkin, blended)
1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

In a saucepan add the pumpkin pie spice, sugar, vanilla, pumpkin and half of the milk over a medium heat. Whisk together until the milk is just about to boil.

Remove from the heat and add the remaining milk and cream and whisk together until it is all full mixed. The creamer should be fairly cool at this point so you can easily place it into a small jug, bottle or container and then leave in the fridge.

You can use this right away in your hot drinks or leave over night for everything to really fuse together in the fridge. Be sure to give the creamer a little mix before use and only keep for around 4-5 days.

I cannot believe it's the very start of October this week! Sadly that does mean that this weeks Seven Spooky Things is the last but it's going to be a bumper fun issue!

This week will be less about making and more about having fun, decorating and getting ready for the spookiest month of the year. So if you're after ideas on how to make your home ready for Halloween then you're in luck as there are weeks and weeks of Seven Spooky Things for you to now check out.

Let's get the final Seven Spooky Things for Halloween 2020 started!

Picture
Monday

Let's start the final week with one little make. This super easy pom pom ghost garland is adorable and would look great across your walls, fireplace, doors and more this Halloween!

You can easily make one of these in an hour or two and you can check out just how to make one right here.

Tuesday

One of my favourite instagram accounts @Notebookofghosts has created an awesome reading challenge for you all this October. 31 Spooky Stories (or 13 if you would prefer) is a month long challenge to read 31 short spooky stories.

It's can easily be done and is also a fun way for you to celebrate Halloween. You could even read to others or just curl up with a nice hot drink, chunky blanket and get lost in a haunting tale 13-31 nights of the month.

You can find out even more details on how to take part via the Notebook of Ghost blog post right here.

Wednesday

It's officially the last day of September, we're now over a week into Autumn and the best month starts tomorrow. So if you haven't already, today we're going to be decorating.

Grab all of the decorations your have available and get decking the halls with all things spooky. Have you created a theme this year? Well now it's time to put it into motion and celebrate because October is finally here!

Thursday

It has finally arrived! October is BACK and today also kick starts 31 Frightful Films For 31 Nights! This list of films has been put together by myself and are a bunch of the most popular films suggested by you! A few weeks ago I asked you (via the October 31st Facebook page and group) what films you like to watch throughout October and you gave the best responses!

My question also had another motive and that was to put these films together and create a list of films we can all watch throughout October and here it is. What's more is that I will be watching five of these films with you all and throughout our watch party ill be asking you a few questions. Save your answers and email them in for your chance to win a prize.

Unfortunately these films will not be streamed due to piracy laws, but with that being said I have selected some of the most popular films to watch along with you all that hopefully you will already own or can easily access via Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+.

The first film to kick start the month will be Hocus Pocus! We'll be watching this together at 8pm and all you will need to do is join the chat with a picture of your film ready to go. Then we'll chat online throughout the film, i'll ask a few Hocus Pocus questions, save the answers and once the film has ended you can send them in for your chance to win the prize (which will be revealed the day before the watch along night occurs).

The winner will be revealed during the next watch along night. Whats more is that everyone who emails in will also be entered into a prize draw for another mystery prize which will be revealed on Halloween!

So grab your copy of Hocus Pocus and let's get watching tonights first Frightful Film!

Friday

Almost all stores within the UK will now be stocked with loads of spooky tricks and treats so today we're going to go SHOPPING!

Grab your haunted shopping bags and let's go out to see what treats we can find. You can also check out a handy list of all stores that currently have Halloween goodies in store or online right here.

Saturday

Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Frappuccinos might be back at Starbucks (as of writing this i've already had 3) but do they have Candy Corn milkshakes? Didn't think so!

This quick and easy recipe for Candy Corn milkshakes required no Candy Corn at all but looks super cute (and tasty) you only really need vanilla ice cream and food colouring to put this together. It would make a great October beverage this month. Why not top it off with Halloween sprinkles that you should now be able to find from most supermarkets?

Check out the full how to right here.

Sunday

As it's the last day of the week and also because today marks... the last day of Seven Spooky Things for Halloween 2020, I though today would be a great time to re-post both of the free activity packs that were created during UK lockdown and also the newly released Halloween Zine from The Samsain Society.

All 3 of the files below are free to download. The activity packs are a zip file which contain all kinds of makes, puzzles, colouring pages and more! The zine is also a PDF which you should be able to download easily to your computer or phone. These are great little things to read and make throughout October and I will be releasing more packs in the future too!

To everyone who has read all of this years Seven Spooky Things posts I cannot thank you all enough for checking them out, sharing and tagging me in all of your pics to do with these posts (and the packs below). I hope you all have a wonderful October and if you make anything from the SST blog posts then please do continue to tag me as I absolutely love seeing them.

Stay safe, stay well and most of all Stay Spooky!

Missing Halloween and the month of October? Me too! So from now until Halloween, each week they'll be a new 'Seven Spooky Things' post to ensure you can add a bit of Halloween to your day 365 days a year.

These Seven Spooky Things should keep you well spooked from September 14th to September 20th.

There is only 1 Seven Spooky Things blog post left before they end and October arrives! Eeek!

Check out all of this weeks daily tasks below:

Monday

We're starting this week with less of a make and more of an idea for a future make! These adorable woodland pumpkins are made using felt and card and can be put together in less than 30 minutes!

This is such a great idea for decorating this Halloween and also just for Autumn! Maybe decorated your pumpkins like this for Autumn and then carve them out with a scary design for Halloween?

Find out how to make this cute little fox along with more woodland creature designs right here.

Tuesday

Today actually marks the first official day of Autumn! The best time of year has finally arrived and we can now look forward to cooler weather, cosy nights wrapped in blankets, sweaters and comfort food!

So let's celebrate the first day of Autumn with these Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Chip Cookies! If you love cookies in general, then you will love these too!

Check out how to make these delicious treats right over here.

Wednesday

Now is the perfect time to start stocking up on all of that wonderful Halloween candy. A large amount of stores will be stocking all kinds of seasonal treats right now what better way to store them, than with these Candy Corn mason jars?

Todays make is quick and easy but they look great. They would make the perfect table decoration or just look great on your shelves, filled with all kinds of wonderful sweet treats.

You can read up on how to make your own Candy Corn Mason Jars right here.

Now that Autumn is well and truly here, you'll want to be decorating your home to reflect the seasonal change that is already happening outside. If like me, you like to fill your home with autumnal treats including pillows, blankets and decorative items around the place, then you'll love todays make.

This easy tutorial will show you how to make Halloween ornaments for you a seasonal indoor tree. The easiest part is the branch as all you'll need is an old tree branch that you think would be perfect to hang small, light decorations on. Grab this and remove any loose bits from the branch, then paint it any colour you desire.

You can then make your very own hanging autumnal decorations by checking out all of the steps right here.

I love a good wreath! If it's bursting with all kinds of autumnal colours and accents then I am all over it and this wreath is no exception.

When I first came across this tutorial, I actually thought this would be quite complicated to put together but to my surprise it's actually extremely easy and quick. The majority of the wreath is made from tied ribbons, with the tassle ghosts being the final, easy touch too.

If I hadn't of ordered myself a new wreath for the door this year already, I would be all over this!

The weekend is officially here and for this week we're going to take it easy. Today we're reading and tomorrow we're watching. So you can put your feet up and release with todays article. The wonderful Halloween Haiku has put together a list of Fun Alternatives to Going Out this Halloween and for some of you this article is going to be a big help.

So many of you are concerned Halloween is over this year and that it's been cancelled. Halloween can never be cancelled and just because it won't be the same as what we're used to does not mean it's gone completely. There are many ways to celebrate the best time of the year and the article above will help you to do just that!

Sunday

To end the week we're watching The Village. This Village was released in 2004 and was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The film follows a small village that is under strict rule to never leave. Just beyond the boundaries of the village are monsters that will attack and kill anyone who tries to leave. However as time goes on the villagers start to become suspicious of what exactly is keeping them there.

I personally really enjoyed this film and the twist towards the end was a nice surprise. If you have never seen The Village before then I would definitely say it's worth a watch but be warned... you'll either love it or hate it.

Recipe: Pumpkin Spice Fudge Dumplings

9/19/2020

Picture
If you love Pumpkin Spice then you will love these! Pumpkin Spice Dumplings are a quick and easy treat that I created a couple of weeks ago and ended up devouring the whole batch.

Since making these I have created different variations for these which I have suggested at the bottom of this recipe for those of you who fancy a little different taste to your sweet dumplings.

They take less than an hour to make and can also be made completely vegan. I can see myself making these for many years to come and will most likely be eating even more of these throughout October. Find out how to make your very own Pumpkin Spice Fudge Dumplings below:

Picture
You will need:
2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of salt
1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon (sweet cinnamon preferable)
3/4 Teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 Teaspoon of ground cloves
250g Self Raising Flour
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Water
Fudge Cubes

First you'll need to preheat the oven to 190 Degrees C/375 Degrees F/ Gas Mark 5.

Sieve the flour into a bowl and add all of the spices, sugar and salt into the flour. Mix together and then add the oil. Mix once again and then with a jug of cold water, add a small amount to the mix and keep mixing more water into the mix until you get a dough that isn't sticky but easy to roll. You might need to use your hand to really mix it all together but try not to mix it too much as you'll remove all of the air from the dough.

Once mixed tear off a small amount and roll out into a circle (The diameter of a standard mug) around 1cm thickness and place one cube of fudge into the centre of your rolled out dough. Wrap the dough around the fudge cube to make a ball. Continue to do this until you have no dough left.

Place the dumplings onto some greaseproof paper and place into the oven for around 20-25 minutes. You'll want them to rise to a good height but don't take them out too early as they will sink. The fudge inside will melt during cooking to create a nice runny centre. I did sprinkle my dumplings with a little brown sugar before placing into the oven but this is completely optional.

Once they have risen take them out the oven and leave to cool for around 5 minutes. I do recommend serving these as soon as possible to enjoy the runny fudge centre. Enjoy!

Extra suggestions:
Why not place a marshmallow and cube of chocolate inside the dumpling to make pumpkin spice S'mores dumplings instead?
Another great way to enjoy these is either making Cinnamon Frosting or even Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Frosting. Place this over the dumplings or in a small bowl for easy dipping!

Vegan Options:
Replace the inside with any vegan alternative to make these 100% vegan. The dumpling mix itself uses no animal products so it's already vegan.
